Home Remedies

When I arrived to Calgary the weather was very cold for that reason I was sickened. I felt bad like a flu. I had headache, sore throat and fever. I did not know about doctors or remedies here and took home remedies. I prepared limon tea with honey and slept a lot. Then I felt very well and did not have any symptom of sickness.

In general, in many occasion I have headache and I need take some pills for that. I can not go go to the doctor when I have headache becouse that is very common for my. When I have headache I take a pill, turn off the light and I go to sleep. Then I feel well and I can do my regular activities. Those are two examples of home remedies. But is important go to the doctor if you feel very bad or if you take home remedies and you feel worse.

Serious Fun

     In general, I do not like video games but sometimes I can play one and enjoy it. One example of that is Mario a crazy game about two brothers plumbers. That game was very popular in 80's and begin of 90's. Their goal was saving a princess of the bad dragon and for that they needed to go for different words looking for her. Actually are a lot of options to play video games and some of them are on internet. Here are some of that options: Activate, Mochi and Games McDonalds. All that game are like characteristic you can choose a character and work with it. If we talking about those three games I prefer Active because it is a game about good topic and kids playing this game can learn about how help. In the other hand, I dislike playing McDonals because this game has a strong bad vision about that company and I think games designers need take care about feeling and likes of their players.

Future Plans

     After finish this course I will go to sightseeing. I going to go to Banff. I have seen pictures from that little city and looks beautiful. Then I hope have time to go to the Calgary Tower and maybe I am going to go to others interesting place in Calgary. In general, I will exploit warm weather for go to ride around Calgary.

Other thing I will do on vacation is prepare my brother's trip. He is buying ticket because he is going to come on April. I am very happy about that and I hope he is not going to have problems with the trip.

Rules of Etiquette

     In my city the most popular type of public transportation is El Metro de Caracas. This is a subway system with 4 principal lines and 3 lines to go to outside the city. Than can sound good but we have a problem, the city is growing up fast and the subways do not and every day a lot of people use that form of transportation. Consequently, we are losing some rules. 

     In the subway some rules are written. For example, Don't eat, Pets don't allowed and don't use bicycles and others are only good manners. The real problems is with a lot of users in the subway is hard enforce a good behavior. People block doors and bump into other people. In the subway some men stand too close to you. I hope, when the subways system grow up those problems will disappear.

                                           

Rules of Etiquette

     Many countries speak the same language but sometime, words can have different mean. In a country one word can be a swear word and in other a regular word. For example, I lived in Madrid and there I heard a lot of word with a bad meaning for my. In another occasions I used some words and the people saw me with a strange face. Spain and Venezuela are on different continents but that happen here too. On this course i have a Colombian friend. sometime when we spoke in Spanish we need asked about the sense of the sentence, and Colombia is the country next to Venezuela. We are neighbors.

     These differences weren't only about words. Here, on the English course I am learning about others cultures. Now, I know are many different between it. For example, for the Latin people are normal speak with strange inclusive, sometime is OK if you interrupt other people. But that is unthinkable for a Asian person.  

     

Long Weekend

I didn't go out of the city on this long weekend I stayed in Calgary and did different things. On Friday I went to IKEA. That is a big store with a lot of things for home. I saw a beautiful table and a cheap lamp for my apartment.  On Saturday I went to downtown and drank a delicious coffe. I went alone but it wasn't a problem for my. On Sunday I stayed in home and slept a lot. For last, on Monday a went to lunch with my Colombian friend. We ate in the Market Mall. The food was very well and then we walked for the mall. There are many store. We bought pants and jackets because were in sale. In conclusion, that was a relaxing and entertaining long weekend. 

Counterfeit Products

     In this time get a fake products is very common. Many people work in improve a quality of the copies. For example, some logos are very similar to a original or if you touch the material is like  the used for the rightful. This is happening because that is a millionaire business. Many counterfeiter are making money with pirated products because the people do not know they are buy the wrong product but this is a illegal market. The best for do not buy copies is look the security marks. Is necessary see the brand name and the logo and compare it with the original. And remember, this can be common but is illegal and if you buy a copy product you can go to the jail too.
